TUSK - The Music of Fleetwood Mac

Glasshouse Port Macquarie, 32/40 Clarence St, Port Macquarie NSW

FLEETWOOD MAC traces its beginnings back in the blues scene of mid-1960s London and in 2016 can lay claim to being one of the most popular, and top-selling, contemporary music bands of all time. Their songs reach into the hearts of generations of music fans around the world and continue to garner news fans every single day.

Now Australia gets the chance to once again hear the classic Fleetwood Mac music as performed by some of our own world class singers and musicians.

This year sees the premier of TUSK: The Music Of Fleetwood Mac - concerts that conjure up the spirit, the essence, and indeed, the music of this incredible band.

Two of Australia’s finest female vocalists – CHRIS E THOMAS and SHANLEY DEL – bring to life the songs of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie – songs like Dreams, Rhiannon, You Make Lovin’ Fun, Landslide and Don’t Stop. Chris E. and Shanley have forged incredible careers in their own right and enjoy reputations that are the envy of their peers here in Australia and across continents.

These dynamic vocalists are joined by some of Australia’s top musicians – Rex Goh (musical director, guitar); Floyd Vincent (vocals, guitar), Steve Bull (bass); Tim Wedde (keys); and Lloyd Gee (Drums) - musicians who have played with Icehouse, Air Supply, Glenn Shorrock, Child Brides and Bachelor Girl.

This extraordinary concert stretches back to those embryonic days in London when the band’s Albatross instrumental topped the charts, to the many hits from the landmark Rumours album and beyond, and covers the many hits that have made Fleetwood Mac an undeniable force in contemporary music annals - songs like Go Your own Way, I’m So Afraid, Chain, Songbird, Gypsy, Tusk, Little Lies, Seven Wonders and Sara – to name but a few.

All these and more come to life again in TUSK: The Music of Fleetwood Mac. We may never get the chance to see Fleetwood Mac back in Australia, but now you can enjoy their music as presented in a unique show that will undoubtedly earn accolades as the best tribute to the band that many consider the most inspiring and influential force in contemporary rock music.
